This book appears to me less interesting than the books I read by the same author.
Perhaps the problem is not attributed to the author, but how to write a book related to a person, who was not like other kings involved persoanlly in fierce battles but sat in London.
Thus there are certain difficulties to write such a person, who appears pale although her Kingdom graw fast and her life was extremely important.
An excellent book on the great Queen. Covers all the bases and provides some deep insights. I would recommend this biography.
did not care for the writers style of writing... very disjointed and sometimes unclear. did like understanding the family tree of Elizabeth

Very informative, a well written easy read.
Can't go wrong with the Abbott brothers and their history books. Lots of contextual information surrounding the main figure. Gives you a great feel for the "sitz im leben" of the subject. Respectful, without wearing rose-colored glasses.
She was strong, tenacious, a leader when Britain
needed a leader. She shaped the future as a world wide leader.
